How can I be put right with God? No question can be more important than this. It may be posed in different ways. How can God look with favour upon me, a sinner? How can he accept me as a righteous person when I am guilty of breaking his commandments? How can I a lawbreaker, appear before him as one who is ‘not guilty'?
